Havana cigars come in a variety of wrapper shades, usually from claro to maduro. Certain cigars such as Bolivar and Ramon Allones simply look and taste better with a darker shade wrapper. Where as others such as El rey del Mundo tend to suit a lighter wrapper. Our opinion is that the wrapper imparts very little towards the overall flavour of the cigar. Dark oily wrappers, tend to taste a little sweeter to the lips, where as lighter wrappers tend to taste a little drier. Certain people prefer lighter shades, whilst others prefer darker shades and we are always happy to select as close to the customers requirement as possible.
